Louise Mandumbwa Manela (b. 1996, Francistown, Botswana) is an artist working in painting, printmaking and drawing to explore ideations of home, figurative and botanical works. Her practice is a counter mapping endeavor examining the ranging registers or memory through material exploration, the illegible image and failed translation. Her works revisits sites of both familial and diasporic history and appends them with affect and the anecdotal.

Kimberly R. Heard is a visual artist questioning the limitations of legibility and embodiment. Working across painting and installation, her practice contemplates the slippage in which color, language, and the body are enmeshed, embracing the incidental processes of material experimentation.

Alexandria Couch is a visual artist whose work explores the intersection between dissociative dreamscapes and an expansive personal archive both historic and mythical. Textiles, recycled materials, text, paint and furniture are used to hold, mend, disrupt and document a vast interior world in which contradictions are inevitable. Using shapeshifting as a mode of operation, Couch interrogates the space between the dimensions of reality and universes spurred forward by past and present experiences.  

Jaamal Benjamin (b. 1983, Brooklyn, New York) is a graphic designer, artist, and educator.  

He is fascinated with rhythm and the ways in which visual communication affects culture and community. Jaamal’s work forefronts ideas and stories of the African diaspora through the use of form, color, type, and sampling. He samples books employing found language and image to create large-format indigo-dyed collages.
