The Leonardo Challenge

People gatherd outside during the Leonardo Challenge.

The Leonardo Challenge is an annual benefit for the EWMW. It has taken place every spring since 1995.

Artists and craftspeople are invited to submit artworks inspired by a theme inspired by the works and ideas of Leonardo da Vinci. These artworks epitomize the craft and creativity that the EWMW seeks to foster in all its visitors.

The artworks are auctioned at this vibrant event, with live music and a delicious spread of treats from local vendors. Funds raised by the auction and sponsorships support the museum's efforts to teach Leonardo's idea of improvisational creativity to K–12 learners, dedicated apprentices, and the Greater New Haven community.
