Annual Appeal 2025

A Community of Impact

At the Eli Whitney Museum & Workshop, we serve our community in many ways. We touch thousands of lives through school programs, summer camps, adult workshops, and more. Our historic site welcomes all generations and every walk of life. At the heart of everything we do is our apprenticeship program.

Over the past year, with the support of more than 100 apprentices, we:

  • Taught over 32,000 projects during the school year
  • Built a mobile library for the Friends Center for Children
  • Constructed a marble wall for the Worthington Hooker School playground
  • Launched a concert series in the barn
  • Led 55 summer camps for 897 children
  • Welcomed a new artist-in-residence
  • Expanded our programming to accommodate a wider range of learning abilities and accessibility needs

This is all possible because of you. We depend on your support to continue making a lasting impact on our community. The path of learning at EWMW is not linear. We ask questions, explore interests, wander, and wonder, often without knowing exactly where our curiosity will lead. Thank you for supporting non-traditional education and for helping us keep this spirit of discovery alive.

Apprentice Fund

The Apprentice Fund supports training and development. This program is the core of all that we do at EWMW.

The Scholarship Fund opens our doors to a wider community by offering scholarships, Title I funding support and always free admission. In 2025, we distributed $50,800 in scholarships. Help us maintain access to programming for those in need.

Design Fund

Each year, EWMW designs new projects for School Programs, Community Partners, and Summer Programs. Your donation contributes to an ever-evolving landscape of design.

Jack Viele Fund

The Jack Viele Fund expands our community of learners. Your support provides individualized assistance when needed. We believe everyone is capable and provide opportunities for apprentices to embrace unique learning styles.
