Forest Haven (Ages 6-11)

Together, let's help the natural world thrive and grow!

Join forces with your fellow campers to build shelters for wildlife in East Rock Park. 
We will build Nest Boxes for Wood Ducks and Owls that dwell in the forest surrounding our site. In addition, each camper will build and paint their own Wood Duck to take home and float in the waters around.

Create a Solar-Powered Terrarium. Inspect and collect local flora and build a miniature forest of your own. Add a solar panel and an LED to illuminate your tiny creation.

Weather permitting, we will hike with binoculars on the trails along the Mill River to spot the first signs of spring wildlife emerging from the forest networks and traveling through.
