Alex is a former camper, apprentice, designer, and educator at the Eli Whitney Museum & Workshop.
Currently, Alex is an attorney at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP, where she represents clients in complex civil litigation matters. Her pro bono practice includes litigating international law claims on behalf of individuals detained at Abu Ghraib prison and representing refugees and individuals seeking asylum. Previously, Alex served as a Law Clerk to Hon. José A. Cabranes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on New Haven, and as a Law Clerk to Hon. Jeffrey Alker Meyer of the U.S. District Court of the District of Connecticut, also in New Haven.
Alex is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Yale Law School. She is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. A former member of Team USA, Alex was a Judge and Technical Specialist for US Figure Skating for more than 15 years, and she currently serves as a member of the Young Professionals Board of Figure Skating in Harlem.
