Johann David Wyss wrote an adventure story about a Swiss family shipwrecked like Robinson Crusoe 200 years ago. Eli Whitney might have read it to his children. And it's still exciting. Construct your own Swiss family and follow their ingenuity in constructing a model tree house with scrounged parts. The tale teaches self reliance, cleverness, ans respect for the environment. Construct the animals they encounter, including some unlikely on their South Seas island. Work out new adventures.
