On Martin Luther King's Day, join the SisOnke Social Circus.

Not so long ago, Megan Hislop was an apprentice at the Museum. After that she learned trapeze and circus arts. Now she has co-founded the SisOnke Circus in South Africa to help children from different communities to learn and play together.

Build acrobats that balance and juggle. Each character will have a SisOnke tee shirt. For some, create the traditional dress of people who share South Africa: Ndebele, Zulu, Swazi, the Xhosa, the Sotho and the Afrikaaners. Your performers will link together.

Learn to juggle scarves – an easy beginning. Then learn balancing arts that Meg is teaching children on the other side of the planet. We will use the tumbling mats generously loaned by St. Thomas School.

30% of the tuition and a contribution from Staff and Apprentices will go to SisOnke Social Circus.
