Vacation Program

  • Friday: Reuse. Birdhouses
  • Friday, April 17, 2009
  • 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Designed for ages 6 to 8

Construct two bird houses and a bird feeder. Learn the design choices that attract specific birds: opening size and position, placement, density. Decorate one naturally, one creatively.

Our birdhouses are built from farm-raised pine, recycled plywood and wire. They are designed to be cleaned and reused annually. Excellent for re-gifting: an ideal Mother's Day or Father's Day gift.

Guest Birder, Jean Sanderson, will accompany walks in East Rock Park.

Follow Warbler migrations from Venezuela to New Haven on Google Earth.
