Vacation Program

  • Wednesday, February 20, 2013
  • 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Designed for ages 10 to 14

In the morning, using Tinkercad, a free downloadable 3D drawing program, learn the basics of 3D modeling to create a small, very defined project that you can see print out on our Makerbot 3D printer in the afternoon.

In the afternoon, if you are ready, begin using SketchUp, another free downloadable tool for 3D projects. It is in the at this point that you can let your imagination be your guide to size, shape and scale. We won't be printing these, but the morning's work will have been a great guide as to what will work and what won't in the world of 3-dimensional printing.

This program is for ages 10 and up..
