The days are growing shorter. Leaves are turning colors. Acorns are dropping. Birds are growing restless. Fall is a good time to explore the woods, to notice change, to collect and identify signs of the new season.
• Explore East Rock Park with a master student of its birds.
• Collect and press wild flowers to preserve their colors for the coming winter.
• Draw the birds you spot.
• Craft Acorns into traditional playthings.
• Map your adventures and explorations
• Assemble your work in a journal
• Build a feeder to assist the winter birds around your home.
