Piston, side and connecting rods all have interesting eccentric triple arm action. Eight big driving wheels plus the famous Gilbert electric Motor offer ample power for hauling long strings of cars. Rolling Stock features No. 646 Power Floodlight Car — new for ’50 — which has revolving searchlight and miniature generator. Automobile Unloading Car operates by remote control; Caboose has interior illumination. Set is 4 ft., 1/4 ins. Track forms 160" oval.

The 0-8-0 Nickel Plate Railroad switcher locomotive which heads up this four-car freight outfit is one of the most interesting "yard goats" ever made. Look at the intricate valve gear detail, the pipes, rivet heads, steam chambers, handrails, etc., all made to accurate 3/16 of-an-inch scale. It’s fully remote control operated, tool and puffs smoke and gives off choo-choo sound effects as she runs. Worm-drive motor provides smooth and sustained power at all speeds. Four fun-packed cars which uncouple by remote control complete the outfit: illuminated caboose, gondola car, automobile car and floodlight car.
