A real beauty, from the pilot coupler on the scale model General Motors Diesel Switcher to the smart little Caboose which rides the rear! Already this American Flyer train has been hailed as one of the finest in ANY price range — and its cost is amazingly low! The Locomotive which heads this set is a minutely detailed model of the famous General Motors GP-7 Road Switcher. So new is this American Flyer model that its real-life prototype was only recently put into service by General Motors! Double Worm Drive Gilbert Motor provides smooth acceleration and ample reserve power. Die-cast Trucks, Ventilators, Exhausts, Louvres, Fins, etc., all highly accurate. With its 3/16" scale Rolling Stock, there's plenty of action to be had with this Switcher outfit. The Automobile Unloading Car operates by remote control; at touch of button incline swivels around and Auto rolls off. Box Car has sliding doors through which miniature crates and cases load into roomy interior. Caboose has full interior illumination. Track forms 160" oval. Train measures 34 1/4".
