Sylvie Rosenthal : Making artful furniture

Sylvie studied woodworking and furniture design at Rochester Institute of Technology's School for American Crafts. She has won commissions, awards, and has been showing her work nationally for the past two years.

An article in a woodworking magazine identified her as an emerging talent to watch. Sylvie served as an assistant and workshop monitor at the prestigious Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. With her mentor there, Doug Sigler, she helped construct a house that is art in every detail. She was invited west to San Diego to continue her studies under Wendy Maruyama for a semester residency at San Diego State University.
