Simón has always been interested in the intervention of objects and spaces, and the reuse of materials. Born and raised in Colombia, he came to the US in 2009, after studying architecture in Bogotá and working in construction and project management.

Simon has a B.A. degree in Architecture from Universidad de los Andes and a certificate in Project Management from Boston University. He also pursued arts courses in the Graduate Liberal Arts Program at Wesleyan University.

In the fall of 2021 Simón became the Shop Manager of the Eli Whitney Museum.

Before joining the Eli Whitney Museum, he worked as a freelance architect and contractor, as well as in the production of art installation projects and in retail. A child at heart, he is passionate for everything related to children's play and the creativity that shapes their life.
