Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.

Join us to celebrate Martin Luther King's birthday.

Understand the simple promise of solar lights. Help Let There Be Light International to brighten lives and empower off-grid communities in Africa through their solar light and electrification programs. Small lights can make big changes.

LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are a brilliant innovation. They are durable, inexpensive, and efficient. they are also fun to experiment with.

Build and elaborate a tiny house with a solar cell that will collect energy during the day and store it for use at night. Your model will work on a windowsill or in your yard, day after day, night after night.

Construct a game with lights to get to know the geography of Africa. Make a top that will spin circles of light.

For each child who participates in the program, the Museum will donate a safe solar light to a child in Africa. Families interested in lighting even more lives are encouraged to make a matching contribution of $15 to Let There Be Light International.

Let There Be Light International is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. www.lettherebelightinternational.org
