understand a people, study them where they live. Construct simplified
model houses to consider the climates, resources, materials
and traditions that define culture. Focus on a region. Focus
on a historic area. Focus on a common pursuit like baking bread.

Building Understanding.
We construct castles and temples, pyramids and pagodas from
far off lands and far off centuries. We construct villas from
ancient Rome and Egypt, stilt houses from the Rain Forest, elegant
painted houses from the African savannah, adobe farm houses
from the American southwest, sod houses from the prairie. Building
connects the hands and minds of your students to the hands and
minds of the world. Building connects your students.
