Rocks of Connecticut
Level: Grades 3 – 6

Each child will sort and test and mount in a display 6 rocks and minerals brought to the Museum from across Connecticut. Each will have different properties. Each will have a different use and story. Every student will learn to use and take home a lighted field microscope and hand magnifier.

Cost: $11 per student

Connecticut Core Science Curriculum Framework 3.3 Earth materials have different physical and chemical properties. 5.4 Humans have the capacity to build and use tools to advance the quality of their lives.
