- 2 wheels with .25 inch holes in them
- 1 wheel with a .125 inch hole in it

- A keychain LED flashlight
- 8 nails
- 4 thumbtacks
- A little glue
- A Hammer

Step 1
Glue and nail the sides of the camera obscura to the face of the camera obscura.

Step 2
Add the lens to the face of the camera obscura. Push and twist down on the magnifying glass. Don’t push too hard or use a hammer — you might break the magnifying glass.

Step 3
Assemble the viewscreen. It is important that the velum be perfectly flat, so be careful as you tack it down. If the velum is wrinkly, the image will not be able to focus.

Step 4
Insert the viewscreen into the body of the camera obscura. Adjust the position of the viewscreen to focus on an image.

Step 5
Assemble the projector stand using the remaining wheel and dowel, and the keychain flashlight. Put an image on the viewscreen and adjust the position of the light so that an image is projected out of the lens.
