Parts

Step 1
Brush glue onto the bottom of the ring. It will go in the center of the stage.

Step 2
Brush glue into the holes in the stage, and place your dowels. Partially insert the thumb tacks into the sides of the stage beside the trapeze poles.

Step 3
Form the end of your trapeze wire into a hook and pin it in place with the thumb-tack on one side.

Step 4
Thread the wire through the top holes in both trapeze poles.

Step 5
Carefully pull the wire taut and pin it in place with the opposite thumb tack. You can cut any excess wire off of the end.

Your stage is done!

Step 6
Build your first performer. First push the end of your toothpick through the foot-holes of the wired figure. Break it off close to the ankle and discard the excess, or save it for decorating.

Step 7
Bend the wires out to the sides. Each side of the wire gets two of the smaller washers. Curl a little hook into the end to keep them from sliding off! Put the figure on the trapeze wire and adjust the wires until the balance is even.

Step 8
Screw the screw-eyes partially into the elephant block's ear-holes, and run a pipette through front-to-back for its tail and trunk.

Step 9
Brush a thin layer of glue onto the elephant's bottom, and also onto the clown's head.

Step 10
Glue them on either end of the large tongue depressor. Use your rubber bands to hold them in place as the glue dries.

Step 11
The elephant and the clown balance on the short peg in the center ring.

Step 12
Carefully open your tiny umbrella, and wrap one end of a pipette around the handle.

Step 13
Prepare the last trapeze artist by brushing glue into the arm-holes. Run the pipette through and let the glue dry.

Step 14
Now run your last heavy wire through the ankle holes. Push enough through that you can wrap it around the legs a couple times for stability. Curl the end of the last figure's wire into a hook for the last washer.

Step Done
Put the final performer on the trapeze wire and adjust his counterweight.
