Family Day at the Eli Whitney Museum

For children between 5 and 12 years old, we offer walk-in projects on weekends, birthday parties, summer, and vacation programs. There are 1001 things to build before you grow up. From Thanksgiving to New Year's our American Flyer train layout is available for children to run during our open hours. Children can build a toy train on the weekends as a Walk-in project.

Walk In Programs

Visitors working on the My Hero Blockhead projectFrom Labor Day to Memorial Day we are open on Saturdays from 10 – 3 and Sundays from 12 – 5. When you visit us on a weekend day, an apprentice will work with your child as they build a project and begin to experiment. Sessions last from 20 minutes to an hour. Birthday Parties

X_Wing_led_lasersThe Museum is available to members children aged 5 and up for birthday parties. We provide the project and table and chairs for the party. You provide the paper goods and the food. Your child chooses a special project for the group to build and take home. Schedule a party...

Winter Schedule
During the winter, we teach school groups during the day either here in the Museum or away at schools.
Monday – Friday Office Hours 9am – 5pm

Walk-in Projects available during open hours on
Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday: 10am – 3pm
