Toy construction blocks comprising strips having inwardly turned
flanges said strips provided at opposite ends with perforations,
combined with U-shaped coupling-pieces having perforations adapted
to aline with the perforations in the 3trips, and bolts adapted
to extend through the strips and coupling-pieces, whereby four strips
may be connected with a coupling piece.
2. Toy construction blocks comprising strips having Inwardly turned
flanges said strips provided at opposite ends with perforations,
combined with U-shaped coupling-pieces having perforations adapted
to aline with perforations in two of the strips, bolts adapted to
pass through two of the strips and the coupling-piece between them,
and a U-shaped clip adapted to be engaged with the free end of the
bolt whereby several strips are interlocked.
3. Toy construction blocks comprising strips of sheet metal formed
with inwardly turned edges and provided at opposite ends with perforations.
U-shaped coupling-pieces around which four strips may be placed,
means for interlocking said strips with the coupling-piece, and
an angle iron adapted to connect two or more blocks

4. In a commutator, the combination of an insulating disk having
a radial tongue, said tongue having a lateral notch, and a segment
having a slot whereby it is fitted over said tongue, the metal of
said segment being displaced longitudinally of the segment so as

4. The combination of a body member comprising a pair of disk-like
members, each having a perforation formed centrally therethrough,
and a sheet metal hub having projections passing through the disk
members for securing the hub and disk members rigidly together,
sald hub having a wall at its outer end with a perforation therein
last-named perforation being in line with and laterally spaced from
the perforations in the disk members, the interior, of said hub
presenting a passage larger than said perforations, and the side
wall of the hub being provided intermediate said perforations with
a threaded socket for a clamping screw ; substantially as described.
