2013 Summer Program

In 1913, a Yale graduate, A.C. Gilbert, produced the first Erector Set. It would make his name and its name beloved to three generations of young inventors. its pieces were steel. They resembled the girders that were building America's skyscrapers, factories, and bridges. Most important, the sets introduced small electric motors…the first that many hands had ever experimented with.

Construct your own Erector Set. It will include some classic Erector parts to be mixed with new parts we have created to let you build the Erector projects that your grandfather played with and to let you design your own inventions. With motors and lights. Still challenging. Still exciting. Still a part of New Haven. Make history.
