Long before stories were written down, people thought they saw creatures in the woods that were neither animals, nor plants, nor completely human. But were, perhaps, parts of each. Elves, hobgoblins, and fairies in the north; dryads in Greek stories…all are wood spirits. Look at the twisted, knotty branches and roots in the shadows of old trees. It is hard not to notice life and stories.

Construct a wood spirit out of branches, stems and seeds. We have collected some. Weather permitting, we will scour the woods for more parts and inspiration. Learn to cut, peel, bend and strip parts to construct and clothe your creation.
