Designed at the MIT MediaLab, Scratch is a free web-based programming language that allows you to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art - and share your creations on the web. After determining the number of beginners the number of students familiar with Scratch, instructors will divide the group up to offer either beginning/intermediate instruction or more sophisticated challenges to those who may be quite facile at Scratch.

Expand Scratch's built in features with "Build Your Own Blocks" by Jens and Brian of the Computer Science Division of the University of California at Berkeley. This will be determined by the makeup of the group.

This class is designed for 10 – 14 year olds only.
