Code.org has expanded their "Hour of Code" lessons with new courses. Learn basic coding concepts by using drag-and-drop logic blocks to guide popular characters through a series of challenging puzzles. You will help characters from "Angry Birds", "Plants vs. Zombies," "Flappy Bird" and more to draw pictures, collect flowers, farm fields, and navigate mazes. First timers will begin with the new Course 2, while returning coders will go in to more depth with the more challenging Course 3.

Then experiment with MIT's Scratch, an environment with more flexibility to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art - and share your creations on the web. You will need an e-mail address (either your own or a parent's) in order to share your work online. Or, you can bring your project home on a USB drive or CD.
