Wanda Faison is a lifelong New Haven native who is passionate about her city and the children that she has mentored over the years. She graduated from Wilbur Cross High School and Southern University, Baton Rouge. Wanda has worked with urban youth and families for all of her career. She has served a variety of significant roles as school security, sports program coordinator, tutor and mentor throughout New Haven's public schools. She officially joined the staff of Eli Whitney Museum in the fall of 2013 and is responsible for the after care program at the museum.

Wanda's classes at EWM are creative workshops that allow the child to go at their own learning pace and style. Any child that has worked with Wanda knows that she has an infectious energy that helps to bring the child confidence in the classroom and a sense of accomplishment with every new project. She is well known throughout the Elm City and is always involved with giving all youth programs her time, talents and energy.
